kim, i was basing on the presumption of "get to" and "Arrive" meaning the same which was also coz in czech those two verbs behave this way, but I was wrong. and why wouldnt i feel like competition now?

Finally I could find the time to react to your adventures. It seems as if your whole life is being opened to me. Very interesting. Last year Jan Linders and I had the opportunity to visit Limerick and Cork -which was absolutely fabulous- and the whole trip came back into my mind after viewing your beautiful pictures!

Radu..you're absolutely right when it comes to 'going to' or 'Go in hell', but still..when you arrive somewhere, you arrive IN a place, not TO a place..From my big grammar book: the preposition 'in' can refer to both place and time. Going to is a collocation, necissarily used in combination with going to PLACES..Not arriving there..Have you ever said: "Linda..I feel TO heaven with you??.." Nah, I don't think so..Still feeling like competing??
Linda..are you still having fun in Limerick?? I'd love to hear from you soon!!
